EVA-02 Production Model [Neon Genesis Evangelion] (Metal Build)

This was my first ever metal build figure and I gotta say I’m impressed. I normally collect hot toys figures, and I have both an iron man and a war machine figure, both of which are made of primarily diecast metal, so it’s not my first time with diecast metal collectibles. That being said the price kinda hurt coming from what I collect normally, this figure is a lot smaller than a sixth scale (it’s about the size of a master grade gundam), but it’s priced almost as much as one...but I noticed a lot of eva themed merchandise is typically overpriced, so it’s to be expected. Price and size gripes aside this figure is incredible. It’s extremely articulate and can hold just about any pose imaginable. It also comes with a huge amount of accessories, and if you have the unit 01 can be easily mix/matched. Aesthetically this figure is gorgeous, they streamlined the look while paying respects to the original anime design, and I absolutely love this design, the paint and color application is top notch. So would I recommend this figure? Honestly it’s a bit difficult to do so. Mostly because of the price. I say this is more for the biggest of diehard evangelion fans, I personally don’t regret buying it, and will proudly display it on my desk until the end of time. Otherwise I’d recommend bandai’s real grade line that they are coming with if you are more budget oriented! I just hope that they at least release a metal build 00 to complete the main trio...fingers crossed!
